We're pleased to offer the following services in our Cedar Hill Veterinary Clinic:
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. We will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We take house call appointments as well as appointments at the clinic so it is vital that you call to schedule. There is no one present at the base when we are tending to our house call client's pets. Emergencies are accepted any time our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible, it is best to call before coming in so that you don't waste valuable time if we are out on house calls. A staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We are open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. We will accommodate the needs of your pet in an emergency situation as promptly as possible. Should your pet's condition be extremely critical and require 24-hour observation, your pet may be referred to one of our local 24-hour emergency hospitals. We will generally refer you to either the VSS Animal Emergency Clinic near Manchester Rd and Hwy 141- (636) 227-6100 or the Animal Emergency Clinic at I-44 and Big Bend (314) 822-7600. If you have an after-hours emergency with your pet that you feel can't wait until regular business hours, you will be referred to an emergency clinic by our answering machine. Emergencies can be things such as poisoning, hit by car, inability to urinate, bloating, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel your pet needs emergency treatment, do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. We will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments.
We are a small animal veterinary clinic. We primarily see dogs and cats. We occasionally see a ferret or pocket pet.
The setting of Country View Animal Clinic is a very open environment. Our staff welcomes owners to be with their animals during examination and medical procedures. If you are uncomfortable with this, you are welcome to wait in our waiting area or for more complicated procedures, you may leave your animal with us for a few moments/hours and return to pick your pet up later. We find that many owners like that they may be present while their pet is being tended to.
On Line Store
We realize that some of you travel quite a distance to visit Country View Animal Clinic and that most everyone has a very busy schedule. We have done "refills by mail" since the inception of our practice in 1991. (This was before On Line Pet Pharmacy's even existed). As always, you are welcome to pick up your refills at our practice, and we are now offering our new on-line store through our website so that you can order products (to be mailed to you) any time of the day or night. If you need some of the pharmaceuticals in different quantities offered or your pet's medication is not listed in our e-store, please call the clinic.
Country View Animal Clinic accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, Visa or Discover. We also accept Care Credit. This is a credit card that may be used for medical purposes. Application is quick and can be done at the clinic. We request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.
We provide estimates for surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
Country View Animal Clinic offers discounted services to families with multiple pets. If you have 3 or more pets, please ask us about our discount program. We also offer a discount of 15% on all routine vaccinations, in-house lab testing, and spays/neuters/declaws performed on the second Wednesday of each month. We offer a 15% discount on teeth cleanings performed on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Please call to schedule these appointments well in advance.
